This was an interview that Nik explains him self abit more on a personal level, explaining how he got into the careea of a photgrapher

NIk Hartley is one of my favourite fashion and portraiture photographers who is based in the UK. He has such an individual style to his work with his own elements that make his photos really sand out. Every image that I have seen with in his portraiture brings out the person and you can see their individual style and personality through his images.  This is what he wants the general public to see through his work. With in his fashion images he has almost a dull grey scaled theme going on throughout his website and general images. This gives it a very high fashion statues as it is very popular at the moment for the background and actual over colour of the image to be and off white/grey with almost and ill blue grey coloured filter on his models; he does this as when he is advertising a garment for a client (designer) it makes the subject he is promoting stand out and look more vibrant and in-your-face, but in comparison his images over all are very subtle overall as he has plain faces models, modelling his high-end fashion garments.

I think what inspired me most about his work is his ability to work with the models to make them stand out and look quirky in the most simple poses and stances yet it looks so calm and peaceful yet the message behind it all is that he is promoting a bright item in a very tranquil and simple way.

I wanted to take inspiration and remake some aspects of his work with my own for my final shoot including other various artists I have researched. The poses of the girls with combination of the very relaxed appeal to the image. I think this will go very nicely with the theme of old school 90’s rave and 2000 pink girly girl with high end fashion basic studio ideas.
